There are many ways to travel, and each person experiences the journey in a unique way, carrying their own physical, mental, and cultural baggage.
We have chosen to give voice to these stories and explore different perspectives on travel through the event series: "The World at 130 cm – Travel, Horizons, Frontiers, Generations." This event will be presented at the Turin International Book Fair on Thursday, May 15th, at 6:30 PM, at the Arena Piemonte.
During the event, Danilo Ragona and Luca Paiardi will present Viaggio Italia Around The World, which has become a graphic novel recently published in Japan. Joining them will be the first guest of the series: Antonio Spica, whose initiatives inspire and raise awareness about the importance of accessibility and inclusion. Antonio will present his book "Him, Her, and Route 66," co-written with Laura Ferraresi. The novel tells the story of a man with a disability who embraces life and a children's book author. Their encounter becomes an opportunity for the protagonist to share his journey along the legendary Route 66—a trip undertaken by handbike.
The travelers’ stories will provide an opportunity to explore the different ways in which physical, geographical, and cultural barriers can be overcome, allowing individuals to rediscover themselves while exploring the world.
